Today we had a visualisation workshop.
"Apply cognitive skill in using your analysis of genres as a basis for your own visual interpretations"
We thought about how we creative think.
We tried to loosen our minds by pointing and naming objects around the room. We then did the same thing but joined up our naming so no longer was it Cat. Chair. it was now Cat,chair.
Finally we named the object but with the name of the previous object and not that of the object itself.
I found this exercise was helpful and I could definitely sense that the exercise was fulfilling its purpose.
We then split into groups and produced group ideas from the article. I thought this was partly useful as it allowed you to review other peoples viewpoints of the article. I also found that some people were not as willing to share their ideas as others which made it less inspirational.
The most helpful bit was when all the groups then shared their ideas, this sparked ideas that had not been considered at all.
I feel i need to step out side of the box more and not to conform to what I believe is the right solution. There is no right solution think FREEDOM!!
