New Project!!!!

Today we got briefed on the reportage project!

SMALL WORLDS - The more you look, the more you see'

Repotage - 1. A body of reported news
2. A particular way of gathering and presenting news.

Resulting drawings are lively and expressive and serve to give a 'snapshot' or insight of an experience or environment.

Provide an insight into one small area in and around Bournemouth
Develop a heightened sense of observation by exploring the possibility of high and low viewpoints, experiment with cropped composition and format, vary the sense of scale, focus on details and consider shadow and pattern.

Essence and spirit of the place.


Activity 2
Utilise the gathered resources from your site specific location, to inform a final outcome that encapsulates an aspect of that environment.

Small Fanzine(photocopied booklet)
A series of postcards
Fold out poster/leaflet.

Be as lateral as possible about your solution
Be inspired by your experience on site

GET CREATIVE - THINK OUTSIDE THE BOX!!!


Action plan

Monday head down to Bournemouth pier
Tuesday start to think about what your focuses of monday were and what narratives or subject matter/topic you could draw from it to create your project
Wednesday maybe head to Bournemouth again to produce more and more drawings focusing on your chosen subject matter , quantity is the key and a collection will be produced, more ideas will develop
 Thursday start to edit some of the drawings that you did on monday and come up with new ways of working with them
Friday Trip to London - use this to gain more inspiration

Weekend - use this to come up with a format for your piece and produce more drawings if needed
Look up other artist to guide you in your inspiration.

Monday - Friday start to produce drawings and experiment with edias and compoistion for final piece
